It Simply Isn’t (Just) Cricket……

By Prestige Venues and Events -

The clocks have turned forward and spring seems finally here. We are delighted that outdoor sport has been able to start up again this week and our cricketing venues around the UK are busy getting themselves match ready for the start of the season next month.

All of our cricket venues in the UK offer exceptional meeting, conference and event spaces many with stunning pitch views and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Whether you are looking for flexible working space, team building or to host a presentation or something more informal such as a celebration for birthdays and anniversaries missed this year there’s something for every occasion.

Why not combine a morning meeting with an afternoon of casual cricket hospitality with your clients or colleagues, once restrictions ease. It’s the perfect opportunity to mix business with pleasure, a chance to catch up face to face, enjoy some live sport and great hospitality, something we’ve all been craving for a long time now!

Cricket venues in the spotlight:

The Spitfire Ground St Lawrence
Canterbury, Kent

Set in the heart of Canterbury, The Spitfire St Lawrence Ground has been home to Kent County Cricket Club since 1847 making it one of the oldest grounds on which first class cricket is played. Unusually there is a prominent lime tree situated on the pitch, the ground was built around the tree and as such, special local rules were introduced, shots blocked by the tree where counted as a four. To this day only four cricketers have cleared the tree to score a six.

The ground is also renowned as one of Kent’s leading conference and event venues with modern spaces in a historic and picturesque setting. It’s ideal for both corporate meetings and dinners as well as private celebrations for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.
