Family Friendly Drive-In Cinema

It may be cold outside but it’s time to get out of the house and into the car with Pittodrie’s Drive-In Cinema.

Home to Aberdeen FC, the stadium is hosting some seasonal screenings this Christmas. They’re showing some family favourites – ‘Frozen’ and ‘The Muppets Christmas Carol’ – on Sunday 10th December 2017.

Anna and Elsa will be taking to the screen at 4pm as Frozen one of the most successful animated films of all time, kicks of the movie night. As the Elsa’s kingdom falls into an eternal winter, watch Anna and her ragtag team of friends go on a quest to find the Snow Queen and break her spell.

The Muppets Christmas Carol will air at 8pm. Join Kermit the Frog, and Co. in this endearing adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic as they help Ebenezer Scrooge realise the meaning of Christmas.

Both movies will be shown on a giant screen in the venue’s car park. Plus, in classic drive-in style, attendees can tune into the film using their car radio for a cosy, surround-sound viewing experience. A range of drinks and snacks will be available throughout the event… as the cinema just wouldn’t be the cinema without popcorn.

Tickets can be purchased via www.pittodrieevents.eventbrite.com for £27.50 per car. Attendees are advised to arrive an hour before the viewing, with spaces being allocated on a first come, first served basis.
