Meet Laura Fitzgerald, Senior Sales Manager extrodinaire at The Imperial War Museum, London.
IWM London tells the story of those whose lives have been shaped by conflict, from the First World War to present day, and has an array chic event spaces for small-scale meetings, private lunches, gala dinners, drinks parties and more … all of which Laura manages. Joining the company in 2017, Laura is an invaluable member of the events team and, most recently, has been part of some exciting new developments.
“This promises to be a very special year for IWM as we will unveil our new outdoor event space. We are confident Laura will be instrumental in introducing it to corporate clients and event organisers throughout London and beyond,” says Oliver Peyton, Creative Director at Peyton & Byrne.
Last month the museum unveiled their stylish, outdoor terrace overlooking the grounds of Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park. Accompanying this, several seasonal food and beverage packages have been developed for those looking to host an informal, evening event in the space.
Bowl food - such as charred hake with smoked paprika potatoes, lime aioli and chorizo wafer, Earl Grey poached chicken, watercress and potato salad, and English rhubarb panna cotta with vanilla bean shortbread - makes for sumptuous, summer snacking
There’s also a barbecue option, featuring hot dishes such as Tuscan rosemary chicken, pork ribs with Memphis sauce, spicy lamb kofta kebabs with minted yoghurt, and peri peri tofu burgers. These are all accompanied by a homemade slaw, cous cous and Mediterranean salads, with summer fruit tarts, chocolate brownies and Pimms trifle shots to follow.
This summer, cocktails, canapés and countryside scenery are all available at IWM London. Plus, with Laura Fitzgerald looking after events you can be sure to keep your cool despite the hot weather.
